Yes. The Taster plan is free forever — no credit card, no trial that expires. Catalog bottles with AI label scans, track drinking windows in your Cellar, and get food pairings from the wines you actually own. Taster includes up to 20 bottles, 20 AI label scans, and 10 AI pairings per month — enough for the bottles that matter this month. If you hit a free-tier limit, nothing is deleted; you can still view your Cellar and upgrade later when you want more capacity. Paid Collector and Connoisseur plans are optional when your collection grows.

Take a photo of any wine label with your phone’s camera. Our AI identifies the wine and pre-fills the name, producer, varietal, vintage, region, expert rating, and recommended drinking window. It works with printed and handwritten labels.

You can always add bottles manually by typing the wine name. The AI will still look up ratings, regions, and drinking windows for you.

Drinking windows are sourced from expert consensus data and adjusted for varietal, vintage, and region. They’re a strong guideline — but every cellar has its own conditions, so we recommend using them as informed suggestions.

Yes! Saignée is a Progressive Web App. On iOS, open it in Safari and tap “Add to Home Screen.” On Android, Chrome will prompt you to install. It works offline for browsing your cellar.

Your cellar is private by default — only you can see your bottles, ratings, and taste profile, and we never sell your data. If you’re on the Connoisseur plan, you can choose to invite a household member to share a cellar, and you can share individual pairings or recipes through a link. Both are fully opt-in — nothing is shared until you decide to share it.
