Tuscany is central Italy's iconic wine region, the home of Sangiovese and the rolling hills of Chianti, Montalcino and Montepulciano. Its classic reds — Chianti Classico, Brunello, Vino Nobile — are savoury and acid-driven, while the coast gave rise to the 'Super Tuscans', Bordeaux-style blends like Sassicaia and Tignanello that broke the rules and conquered the world. Cypress-lined hills, olive oil and food-friendly wine define it.

Structure

BodySangiovese in its many guises is Tuscany's heart, but Cabernet, Merlot and Syrah thrive on the Maremma coast (Bolgheri), making rich, polished Super Tuscans. From everyday Chianti to collectible Brunello and icon blends, Tuscany spans the affordable to the legendary, always with a savoury, gastronomic streak.
