Grüner Veltliner is Austria's signature white — crisp, peppery and food-loving. It delivers green apple, lime, white pepper and a distinctive radish-and-lentil savouriness, with bright acidity and a mineral core. From zippy, light 'Smaragd'-bottled aperitif wines to powerful, age-worthy bottlings from the Wachau, Kamptal and Kremstal, it is one of the most versatile and gastronomic whites around.
